'While Life Is Uncertain, My Love Is Sure,' Rica Peralejo Has Just The Exact Words To Make Moms Cry

On Mother's Day, Rica Peralejo Bonifacio penned the sweetest letter that every mom should read, especially when things get tough.

The first-ever Smart Parenting celebrity editor-at-large and mom of two boys shared a reel on Instagram with a message that would pierce through every mom's heart.

Rica explained, "I wrote this while thinking of all of the mothers out there. We weren’t warned that our job was going to be all about life-keeping."

Moms know that ever since they found out they were pregnant, their role and responsibility would never end. They are life-keepers, as Rica pointed out.

"And I think that when all else fails it really just boils down to how PERFECT LOVE DRIVES OUT FEAR. The love we have, whether we’d like to acknowledge God for this or not, is a gift in a pretty uncertain life. For love is sure, love never fails," she continued.

She also recognized moms for the thankless job of preserving lives and healing with love.

An ode to moms who are "life-keepers"

Here's the message she wrote in the video, and her mommy followers could attest that it touched their souls.

"I don't think I've ever feared anything in my life as much as I have feared for the life of my children.

From the moment they were born, all I can think of is how to keep them safe, keep them alive.

"When worse turns to worst, when everything becomes too hard to handle, I must remember that my love was made precisely for times like this." Rica Peralejo Bonifacio

But life isn't always going to be safe.

It will have its share of challenges, its pains.

And I will have to trust that not only are my kids strong, not only are they resilient, but so am I, too.

My love is resilient, pliable, durable, and hardwearing.

My love is strong. 

When worse turns to worst, when everything becomes too hard to handle, I must remember that my love was made precisely for times like this.

"Love is patient, love is kind...It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails."

Life-keeping is a daunting task, but I take comfort in knowing that while life is uncertain, my love is sure.
