Trina Candaza On Being A Solo Parent: 'May Kirot Kasi Hindi Buo Ang Pamilya Ng Anak Ko'

What is Trina Candaza busy with, now that she's a single mom? 

In her recent interview with Ogie Diaz, she reveals she's working on her business apart from taking care of Mithi, her daughter with Carlo Aquino.

“Naka-focus lang ako samin. Kasi hindi ko rin naman kaya magpapasok ng ibang tao pa sa buhay namin. Nag-focus ako sa business ko, kay Mithi, she says.

Trina shared that she was given an opportunity to start a perfume business, for which she is very much grateful, “Actually mas iba yung drive ko ngayon. Naghahanap ako ng iba’t ibang ways to provide for her, says Trina.

The digital creator's motherhood and family has made headlines recently after her former partner Carlo Aquino confirmed his new love interest during a recent press conference plus how he feels about not seeing Mithi since November 2022.

Trina refutes Carlo's account, saying that she's allowed for him to see their daughter. However there are some things that she wants to make sure is done well for Mithi's upbringing, particularly when meeting new partners of her parents.

'May kirot kasi hindi buo yung family ng anak ko'

When Trina talks about Mithi, she can’t help but shed a tear but continue to remain composed, “May time na nagda-daddy dadddy siya, hinahanap niya. Minsan nakakasakit sa puso kasi pag may nakita siyang lalaki, tinatawag niyang daddy. Syempre may kirot, kasi hindi buo yung family ng anak ko.”

On a more controversial question on why they broke up, Trina chose not to answer the question, “Actually it’s a very easy question, Mama Ogs. Pero dahil baka mapanood ni Mithi in the future, I’d rather not answer directly. But I think everybody knows it.”

She was also asked about her ‘part’ in the break up, and she said, “I can admit na naging toxic ako.”

In the end, Trina said that she cannot control what others say. She’s more focused now on loving and taking care of Mithi and providing for her. 

She also left a message to fellow single moms, “Kung nahihirapan kayong magdesisyon kung ano ba ang tama, tingnan niyo lang ang anak niyo, makakapag-desisyon na kayo ng tama. And lakasan nyo lang ang loob ninyo, kasi sa inyo lang din kukuha ng lakas ng loob yung mga anak ninyo.”
