While some parents resorted to DIY haircuts during the enhanced community quarantine, not all yielded good results (see some of the hilarious photos here). Children are still not allowed outside under general community quarantine (extended in Metro Manila until October 31), so parents who are not confident with their hairstyling skills are left wondering where they can get a haircut for their children.

Barbershops and salons that do home service
On our parenting community, Smart Parenting Village, a desperate momma asked for recommendations and help came flooding in. Here are some barbershops and salons that offer home services for kids — you can even have the whole family styled, para sulit!
Robots and Dolls
Starts at Php330 for new kid members with a home service fee of Php380 and transportation fee of Php150. Family package is at Php1,200 for 2 kids and 2 adults, exclusive of fees.
Under the new normal, hairdressers will be wearing fresh personal protective equipment (PPE) for every household. The staff also undergoes frequent rapid testing for everyone’s peace of mind. Sanitation and disinfection are a must for every visit and cashless advance payment through online systems is required. Book ahead because they serve limited clients and households per day.
Areas covered include NCR, Cavite, and Laguna. For inquiries, visit their Facebook page at facebook.com/robotsanddolls
Cuts 4 Tots Hair Salon
Starts at Php450 per person, plus home service fee of Php500/household. Family promo is at Php2,000 for 4 people, inclusive of home service fee.
This popular child-friendly hair salon caters to children 0 to 10 years old, but their home services can include the whole household. Strict sanitation protocols are implemented — wearing masks is a must while getting a haircut — and tools are sanitized with alcohol and UV light before use. A disposable cape is used for each haircut and a new comb is used for each household. It is recommended to have the haircut in an open-air garage or garden setup.
Expect 2 people from their end — a hairdresser and an assistant — to come to your home. They’ll be transported via private vehicle to lessen exposure and their PPE includes a disposable apron, face shield, face mask, hair cap, and gloves. They’ll even bring a kiddie highchair and a TV so the kids can watch cartoons while having their hair styled!
Areas covered include San Juan, Mandaluyong and selected parts of Quezon City and Manila. For inquiries, visit their Facebook page at facebook.com/cuts4tots.hairsalon
Stud & Sassy | Barbershop * Salon
Starts at Php550 for male clients (kid or adult) and Php650 for female clients. A minimum fee will be charged based on your area, which is consumable based on their services.
This adult salon can cater to kids, too! They also offer hair and nail treatments for moms (and dads!) who want some self-care. What makes their home service worth it is that their minimum household fee is consumable, so you can choose from any of their services! For everyone’s safety, the salon ensures that their staff is in full PPE when they service you at home. All tools, equipment, and products are sanitized and disinfected before use.
Home service is available for clients residing in Metro Manila. For inquiries, call 0915-4277259 or visit their Facebook page at facebook.com/StudandSassy
