This mom discovered a brilliant way to keep her toddler from being on the verge of a meltdown! And it's simple—well, for some.

Mom content creator Alivia Cromartie or jusssliv on TikTok and Instagram shared a video in November on how she handles her toddler's tantrums. The video has a total of over 16 million views and over 5M reactions as of writing.

"POV: This is how you gentle parent when your toddler is on the verge of a meltdown... zoomies!"

The viral video features Liv's daughter Icey, who was 18 months old then, and looked on the verge of tantrums. What Liv does is run around her toddler to distract her.

Icey then gets fascinated with her mom who's doing "zoomies," lifting her mood. The mom and daughter end up hugging each other in the end, amusing the viewers.

A TikTok user requested for a version of the video with the original audio, and it's even more entertaining!

Zoomies is a slang term for a sudden burst of hyperactivity in an animal, like a dog or cat, such as rapidly running back and forth or in circles. This is an informal term for Frenetic Random Activity Periods or FRAPs.

In an interview with TODAY.com, Liv shared that her daughter was cranky in the video because she was hungry, and her mom's been taking a while to prepare her food. Her trick, Liv said, has been proven effective in different settings.

“I’ve done zoomies in a grocery store. I’ll run up and down the aisles. I don’t care who sees,” she mentioned.

“Distracting my kid is the key."

She added that her viewers tell her that the trick works, and one of them even said, it's not just for toddlers!

"This is helpful for when they are older because they just think to themself that they need to take a run to relax instead of having the meltdown."
