Social media personality, actress, and TV host Bea Benedicto took to Instagram to share an emotional and deeply personal account of her and her husband, lawyer and content creator, Jech Tiu’s trying-to-conceive journey. Known for their candid and witty posts on fashion and sneakers, her post offered a raw glimpse into the couple’s year-long struggle with infertility.
‘Because We Really Want A Baby’
“In 2024, I went from being at the peak of my health and happiness to reaching my most down and depressed,” Bea started her post. “All because we really want a baby.”
She then revealed how she and Jech went through 8 sessions of artificial insemination, all in one year: “I guess I’m at a better headspace now. I feel strong enough to share that @jechtiu and I went through 8 sessions of artificial insemination throughout 2024. They all failed, of course, and I’ve honestly just been feeling so traumatized by this whole experience because I didn’t realize how hard it would be.”
Bea was honest about the emotional weight of her experience, emphasizing how difficult it was to deal with the emotional changes without the joy of a positive outcome. “I hate having pregnant woman hormones but not having a baby to show for it,” she wrote. “It feels so unfair. I just can’t do it anymore.”
‘No More Forcing and Putting Our Life On Hold’
Despite the setbacks, Bea still ended her post with resilience, humor and gratitude. She talked about the possibilities, writing, “Oh, well. Who knows, maybe it’ll happen miraculously when we don’t try (my cervix is always closed, though, so I’m not sure how that can happen but malay mo diba), or maybe it won’t. Maybe we can adopt, or maybe we won’t.” She then thanked Jech for his unwavering support and love, “I just feel so blessed because I have a husband who supports and loves me no matter what.”
To herself, Bea promised to live her life to the fullest: “To 2025 Bea, I promise no more forcing and putting our life on hold. We will just let go and flow.”

Trying-to-Conceive
Bea is not the only social media personality who has opened up about their trying-to-conceive (TTC) journey. Vern Enciso, Smart Parenting Mom We Love, vlogger, and influencer, also shared her own experience on social media. Together with her husband, Ben Lim, Vern welcomed their first son, Nathan, conceived through in-vitro fertilization (IVF).
Singer Sitti Navarro also previously shared that she and husband Joey Ramirez were advised by doctors to try IVF. They eventually conceived naturally in the same year and now have two children.
Actress Bianca King has also been open about her struggles with conceiving, saying at the time, “It’s an emotional roller coaster every 2 weeks of testing for ovulation and testing for pregnancy. It’s not easy to be open. Sometimes all you want to do is talk about it or not talk about it all.” Now a mother to her daughter, Sadie, she sends a hopeful message to women facing difficulties conceiving, “If you find out you have something going on in your reproductive system, don’t lose hope. Believe and have faith. You don’t have to feel alone. My uterus isn’t perfect either. Follow your heart, if you want to have IVF, do it. If you have time to wait, give nature a chance.”
