  • Baby number two is on the way for Kryz Uy!

As excited as she is, the Youtuber also opened up about the struggles of being pregnant the second time around. On her latest video content, uploaded last January 5, 2022, Kryz shared updates about her baby on the way.

    Kryz's 8th week of pregnancy

It was last November 24, 2021, when Kryz first announced to the public that she and her husband Slater Young are expecting their second baby together. It was only recently that she got to post an update about her pregnancy due to Typhoon Odette, which hit Cebu City where the couple is currently based.

"I don't wanna move, I don't wanna eat. I feel like I wanna vomit all the time. I'm so tired. I don't wanna film. I don't have ideas," is how Kryz described how she felt during her 8th week of pregnancy.

Aside from fatigue and morning sickness, the mom also feared having an ectopic pregnancy given the menstrual cramps she has been feeling then plus, noticing a lump at one side of her abdomen. Fortunately, her fears were lifted after going to her first doctor's appointment.

"I'm very very happy!... It was not an ectopic pregnancy so, the baby is not in the fallopian tube.

I was really scared because if it was in the fallopian tube, it would have been super scary. There would have been no chance that the baby will survive," Kryz shared.

    Same birthday for #SkyFam siblings

Another exciting thing Kryz found out was that her second baby is due on the same day as her firstborn son Scott's (or Scottie as they fondly call him) birthday. What are the odds!

Kryz has mixed feelings about this. "The funny thing is this baby is gonna have the exact same birthday as Scottie because they have the exact same due date.

She adds, "I really hope I'm not gonna be spending Scottie's 2nd birthday in the hospital, away from him, that my only concern. But hey! Joint birthday celebrations, maybe we can travel every year at this time. We'll see."

On her 10th week of pregnancy, Kryz got a Non-Invasive Prenatal Test (NIPT) blood test, which went well and found no risk of having a fetal chromosomal abnormality.

    Being pregnant during a typhoon

Kryz was thankful that she was no longer having intense morning sickness and feeling lethargic when Typhoon Odette hit their place.

She recalled, "I'm glad that at least at same time that [Odette onslaught] was happening,  wala akong morning sickness, if I had morning sickness and I was super lethargic, I don't know how I would have done it."

She also admits having a hard time going through a calamity while pregnant. "During the typhoon I was so stressed out. I didn't sleep for three days and I was running on complete adrenaline."

To help her relax, Kryz says she borrowed a Doppler machine from her sister-in-law to "listen and look for the heartbeat of the baby because it just made me freak out na I'm not feeling anything."

The soon-to-be mom of two also got reassuring words from her doctor saying, her pregnancy will be fine. It's important that expecting moms get the support they need during such stressful events.
