"Ubos na ang diapers."
"Wala na palang gatas."
"Nakalimutan ko bumili ng vitamins."
These are just some of the one-line horror stories that moms don't ever want to hear.
Ensuring that there is enough stocks of these essentials at home is one of the most important tasks of mothers.
That's why when Smart Parenting found out that there is a new online subscription program for home essentials, there's no better person to try it than moms.
How does it work?
The Go Cart (formerly Go Robinsons) Subscribe and Save is a new subscription program of Robinsons Supermarket to help customers, especially moms, to get big savings and save their time by ordering their groceries through their website and app.
To use it, you just have to place your order one time in this website or download the app here, and have your mom and baby needs delivered regularly at your door step! You can choose how frequent you want to receive your orders - whether every two weeks, every month, or every two months.
To test this new shopping app, Smart Parenting selected 10 moms from the Smart Parenting Mom Squad and Smart Parenting Village, who are residing near Robinsons Metro East. They met together on May 14 via Zoom to discuss their experiences.
Let's get to know the moms:

Shop in-store or online?
While majority of them say that they prefer to shop groceries by going to the store, some got used to shopping online due to the pandemic. Mommy Rose said, her grocery run is also her kind of me-time, so she makes sure to have it at least once or twice a month.

When it comes to their familiarity of subscription programs, only two of the moms have experience in buying products through subscription. One mom said she subscribed to multivitamins, while the other said she has a diaper subscription for her child.
Both of them agree that what they love most about subscription programs is the discounts they get and the convenience it offers when it comes to payment and availability of stocks.
Mommy Tintin said, "First, may discount kasi monthly delivery, and second is, nakikita ko nalang siya na bumawas na siya sa credit card ko tapos dadating nalang siya sa bahay, kasi minsan nakakalimutan natin paubos na pala. Convenience talaga, and saves time and effort."
The other moms are open to joining subscription programs especially if it's like a one-stop-shop where they can get savings and discounts from buying the regular items that they need, and of course, if there's free shipping.
For Mommy Julie, she would consider subscription only if these two things are fulfilled: "As a wais mommy, promos and discount, tsaka syempre yung communication."

First order
So we asked the 10 moms to place their first order through the Go Cart website, and share their experiences, in terms of navigating the website, availability of products, delivery, customer service, and discounts and rewards.
Since the website at the time of testing was in its initial stages, the moms found that there is still room for improvement when it comes to the user experience in the website and availability of products. Nevertheless, they all had positive experiences when it comes to the delivery and customer service.
Product offerings
For Mommy Genina, "Sana mas madaming choices. Very helpful kung bi-monthly magdedeliver ng ganun, di ko na siya isipin."
Mommy Ella who is working from home said, "Absolutely needed. If dadagdagan yung range ng products, magsusubscribe talaga ako."
Prompt delivery
Mommy Klerie commended the delivery process, "Mabilis naman, maganda kasi laging nag-uupdate yung rider kung ready na for delivery."
Responsive customer service
Customer service-wise, Mommy Jullie gave it a perfect score. "Natuwa ako sa customer service nila dahil sobrang approachable, tumatawag pa nga eh. Yung rider tumatawag din."
Exclusive discounts
Mommy Ella, at first was dissatisfied with the product offerings, but is happy with the discounts. "Sobrang konti ng range. Nakakuha ako ng good offer sa diaper, buy 2 take 1, ang laki ng discount ko dun."
For Mommy KB, she said she absolutely needs the Subscribe and Save program because they are bulk-buyers. "What we're after is convenience."
Second order
Because they have placed their first orders in the website with their preferred products and frequency, the moms shared how the subscription process was like.
Subscription offer
Mommy Genina, "On the second order, halos wala ka nang gagawin, icoconfirm mo nalang and yung payment method. Smooth naman ang process, may nareceive akong confirmation message."
Mommy Rose adds, "Yung yung kagandahan ng subscription no, kasi if you subscribe for certain products, na-cut na yung time to process your orders, diretsong payment na agad."
Payment options
All payment options are available, even cash-on-delivery, so Mommy Rose said she is very satisfied, "We're using GCash."
They are also still very pleased with the customer service and delivery.
Within 24 hours, the product was replaced.
"May freebie pa sa delivery na candy bars na nilagay kasama ng order ko," said Mommy Rose.
The verdict
When asked if they will recommend the Go Cart Subscribe and Save program to their family and friends, they said they highly recommend it.
Mommy Ella said the subscription is perfect for working moms like her. "Lalo na yung mga busy moms na wala nang time pumunta ng grocery."
Mommy Genina adds, she would recommend it "Lalo na sa mga ka-batch ko na moms na nanganak during the pandemic na hindi lumalabas ng bahay."
It's also a resounding yes for Mommy Tin, "Yes, improve lang yung selection ng products."
And for Mommy Rose, who might skip some of her grocery runs soon, she said, "Very helpful talaga [itong subscription program] sa aming mga mommies. Sa reorder, payment ka nalang talaga, tapos delivered to your doorstop. One-stop-shop na siya, madali ko siyang ma-re-recommend."
What the moms could only wish for are free shipping vouchers since they are buying essentials in bulk.
Overall, the moms said they absolutely need the Go Cart Subscribe and Save subscription program, giving it the coveted #SPMomApproved badge!
