Megan, Mikael Show That Exercising Together Is Healthy For Their Bodies And Marriage

  • Megan Young and Mikael Daez count working out together as among their shared passions. They have photos or videos of them exercising or at the gym posted on their respective social media accounts, along with those showing them goofing around or having fun with their furbabies.

    In Mikael's latest post, he has a short video showing "just a tiny glimpse into our daily workouts for the past few weeks." It's running at that particularly time when he took the video of him and his wife.

    He also shares how they, who are both 30-ish and GMA-7 TV hosts and actors, keep fit: "We’ve made it a point to really start increasing the intensity of our workouts lately and doubling down on eating healthy. This meant no more unhealthy snacking, heavier lifts, and more cardio."

    Mikael goes on making a confession that also concerns Megan: "What we did not expect is our old and weary bodies to hurt so much after. Our dirty thirties have become puro siesta at trenta. We are adjusting though. It’ll just take us a bit longer to get to our goals I guess."


    He announces in his next post that they will be away from each for 50 days because of work. In fact, he's sending his wife off at the airport in his video, saying they wouldn't be apart for that long in a long time. (They dated for nine years before tying the knot in January 2020.)

    "Today, Boneezy LEFT ME to go to another country," Mikael says in the caption, using his pet name of his wife. He's Fofo to her. He explains, "She’s travelling the world and she’s riding solo this time." Megan just happens to be Miss World 2013.

    Mikael continues with his story: "To add some drama, by the time she comes back, I would have left already for South Korea to shoot Running Man PH. Basically, the next time you will see the duo of Bonez and Fofo together will be two months from now!

    He then lists down some of his "many feelings about this":

    "The first is I am SUPER excited for Bonez. At the time of this writing she’s reenacting The Terminal by Tom Hanks as she wanders around her stopover airport for around 15hrs. She’ll also be figuring out how to do all of this on her own which means she’s going to learn a lot. And of course, I think she’s going to have a blast on this solo adventure.

    "The second feeling is a bit mixed. We haven’t been apart from one another since this pandemic started so to have this new status quo for the next two months is going to be interesting. But ultimately, I think we’ll both learn so many more things and it’ll be a nice way to reflect on the what we just went through.

    "The last feeling is a sense of intrigue for the future. Being in foreign places and new situations has always taught me so many new lessons. I wonder what we’ll get out of this one."
