Iya Villania and Drew Arellano's ordeal with COVID-19 continues as all their three kids begin to experience COVID-19 symptoms.

On January 10, 2022, Iya shared a heartbreaking photo from when she had to isolate herself from her three kids, Primo, Leon, and Alana, after testing positive for COVID-19. But as days passed, one by one, her three kids began showing symptoms of the virus and has joined her in quarantine, with the latest being Alana.

In her latest Instagram post, the pregnant mom shared that Alana "has been warm and uneasy since last night and wants nothing but cuddles."

"My poor baby girl who’s probably having the hardest time dealing with symptoms."

She also gave an update on the health condition of her two boys. Fortunately, Leon, the first to experience symptoms, is already showing signs of recovery. "by night, he was fine! Like nothing happened. Not sure if that's really it for him, but so far since last night, he hasn't had a fever, and his demeanor is back to what it was before he got sick!," Iya tells about Leon.

Her panganay, Primo, however, is still feeling unwell. "Primo had a meltdown last night too… Kuya seemed like he had it all together until I noticed he wasn't looking okay. I cuddled up next to him and then he started to cry."

The celebrity summed up that her children have experienced the following symptoms: sneezing, vomiting, and fever.

Bittersweet reunion with kids

The past couple of days have been challenging inside the Casa Arellano, with every family member getting sick. Despite this, Iya remains optimistic that healing will soon cover her family.

"Hoping Leon is done with it for good (it's day 3 for him today). I think Primo will be too soon because aside from his fever, his demeanor is good, and hopefully so will Alana."

For Iya, the silver lining now is that "borders have now opened, and everyone's reunited." No more "dark side" and "clean side" and navigating through the "tricky" aspect of isolation.

She adds, "so now we can all help each other as the kids heal and recover. Drew and I aren't going anywhere anyway, so we can keep on counting days with the kids until everyone is well again."

In her earlier post, the soon-to-be mom of four gave other parents a list of essential items they should prepare in case they find themselves in the same situation as hers: "Mamas! Papas! Make sure you have everything ready for the night. Meds (medicines), medicine cups or syringes, extra clothes (in case of vomit), nebuliser, necessary nebules, wet/cold towel, thermometer, oximeter, water and a lamp!"

The Philippine Department of Health (DOH) also published a guide on how to take care of COVID-19 positive children at home. See infographics below:
