Camille Prats Wanted VBAC Initially, But She Agreed With Her Doctor to Have a C-SectionCamille Prats shares her third birthing experience, welcoming son Nolan Cristiano.by Rachel Perez .
On July 24, 2019, Camille Prats Yambao shared some details about her third birthing experience delivering her son Nolan Cristiano. The actress and TV host initially wanted a vaginal birth after C-section (VBAC) but after consulting with her doctot, they decided against it.
The video, which aired on GMA's Mars Pa More on July 24, 2019, showed Camille and her husband VJ Yambao in the hospital at 1 a.m. on July 10, 2019. She was already experiencing contractions, and when her doctor checked on her, her cervix was already one-centimeter dilated. “We’re waiting kung by this morning magtutuloy-tuloy sya edi lalabas na si baby,” she said in the video.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
“So far kaya ko pa naman yung contractions. It’s not painful pero there’s something there. Okay pa naman,” Camille shared. She managed to fall asleep even when she was already having labor pains. Her doctor visited her at around 5 a.m.
“The doctor came here at around 5 a.m…. and [did an ultrasound] to check if my uterine lining is good for VBAC, but we both decided na repeat CS na lang,” Camille revealed, adding that she was already being prepped for surgery as she spoke.
“I am very excited to meet our little boy,” she said. At 7:27 a.m., two years after she gave birth to daughter Nala Camilla via C-section (CS), Camille delivered Nolan Cristiano.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
It’s been three weeks since Camille, VJ, and kids Nathan, 11, and Nala, who’s turning 2 in September, met the newest addition to their family. The new ate was a little possessive of her baby brother, eliminating Camille's fears about how her little princess would feel about having a new baby in the family.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
As the Yambaos settled in, they first had to figure out their sleeping arrangements. Nala was not yet ready to be weaned from co-sleeping with her mom, so Camille sleeps in the same room with her two younger kids. Breastfeeding while recovering from CS has been smoother for the new mom this time around.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
She and VJ decided to hire a night nurse via the Aide app to look after Nolan Cristiano at night so she can sleep and wake her up only to nurse him. “I noticed my milk supply increased rapidly coz I get to rest well and take good care of all my kids during day time. Really really worth it,” she wrote on Instagram. Nolan Cristiano, on the other hand, has been an easy baby, always off to dreamland after breastfeeding.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
“Mommas, after birth is crucial to both mom and the baby. Don’t ever take yourself for granted by stretching yourself too thinly, thinking you can do everything all by yourself, it’s okay to get help. It’s the best thing you can do for yourself and your kids,” the mom of three added.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
