This is not a drill! Disney just confirmed that Frozen 3, Zootopia 2, and Toy Story 5 are in the works. Disney CEO Bob Iger announced it on February 8, 2023 at its Q1 earnings call reports Deadline.com.
"Today I’m so pleased to announce that we have sequels in the works from our animation studios to some of our most popular franchises, Toy Story, Frozen and Zootopia, he said. "“We’ll have more to share about these productions soon, but this is a great example of how we’re leaning into our unrivaled brands and franchises.”
Zootopia was released in 2016 and won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature in 2017.
Frozen 2 was released in 2019 as a sequel to Frozen (2013). Its cast, Kristen Bell, Jonathan Groff, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad were given the Disney Legend Award in 2022.
The last Toy Story franchise released was in 2019, 24 years since the first film. It may come as no surprise that a fifth film is in the works, with Toy Story still being one of Disney's biggest franchise.

Tim Allen, Buzz Lightyear's voice talent tweeted after Disney's announcement that he's returning as his iconic character. "See ya soon Woody, you are a sad strange little man and you have my pity. And off we go to a number 5! To infinity and beyond!"
