Francis Magalona, a leading proponent of Pinoy rap in the 1990s, died on March 6, 2009 after a long battle with acute myelogenous leukemia. He was survived by his wife Pia Arroyo-Magalona and their children Unna, Nicolo, Maxene, Frank, Saab, Elmo, Arkin, and Clara.
Fourteen years later, Saab Magalona, who's been married to her Cheats bandmate Jim Bacarro since 2015, had their kids Pancho, 5, and Vito, 3, in tow while visiting the Master Rapper's grave.
Saab shared a few snaps and video clips from their visit on Instagram, and noted in the caption, "I'm sure pop is loving that his grandkids are dancing to his grave, proving that showmanship runs in the family."
Indeed, brothers Pancho and Vito have inherited their "Lolo Pop's" propensity to entertain. Vito also shows prodigious talent in singing and playing the drums, as viewed on his parents' social media posts.
One of the commenters in Saab's post of their visit to Francis M's grave couldn't helping making this wish: "Can't wait for Vito to sing FM's songs." Vito's take on such iconic tunes as Mga Kababayan and Kaleidoscope World is truly something to look forward to.
Another commenter, former Senator Francis "Kiko" Pangilinan, wrote in Saab's post about his tukayo, "He lives in you and his grandchildren."
Saab also noted in her post that Pacho and Vito "seemed very clingy to their Ate Luna," referring to Pancho's twin who passed away on the same day they were born on February 8, 2018 (read here).
Saab ended her post with a short and heartfelt message, "Love you, Papa" and the hashtag #FrancisMForever.
