Actress Ryza Cenon started the second half of the year with a big announcement: she’s currently five months pregnant with a baby boy!
“It’s the small moments that make life big. Happiness is on the way,” she writes in an Instagram post, adding the hashtags #prayersanswered, #godsgift, and #newjourney.
The news came as a surprise to her fans, since Ryza had been keeping her relationship with cinematographer Miguel Antonio Cruz, the father of her baby, private. But the 32-year-old actress decided to come clean with her pregnancy so she wouldn’t have to hide their child.

Mas maganda ‘yung wala kang iniisip kung lumalabas ka or may gusto kang gawin,” she tells PEP.ph in an online interview.
In the same interview, Ryza shares that she first found out she was pregnant in April 2020. Kasi ‘yung isang guhit, malabo. April 9 ko na po nalaman na pregnant po ako,” she says, admitting that it is a quarantine baby.
Despite the unplanned pregnancy, Ryza confidently says she is ready to be a mother. She had been worried that she would be unable to conceive since she has an inverted uterus.

Ryza, who will give birth in November, shares that her first trimester was smooth-sailing — no morning sickness and cravings. However, she found it hard to sleep.
Her second trimester is a bit harder because of the nausea. Thankfully, the vomiting has subsided a little bit since the actress was prescribed medicine.

Puwede akong lumabas, maglakad-lakad, mamili ng gamit niya,” she shares.
Despite all that’s happening, the actress is choosing to keep positive and just focusing on taking care of her baby boy.
