Jackie In Japan, Isabelle In France: Where Celebrity Families Spent Christmas

With more relaxed COVID-19 rules in place, a lot of people are on what they call revenge travel. These celebrities are among those who packed their bags to spend Christmas and the rest of the holiday season abroad.

Anne Curtis: back to Australia

Back in December 2019, Anne Curtis, along with her husband Erwan Heussaff, flew to Australia to be with her mother Carmen Ojales when she gives birth to her first child.

But after Anne gave birth to her and Erwan's daughter Dahlia Amelie on March 2, 2020 (read here), the COVID-19 pandemic began. So they decided to wait it out until it was safe and allowed to travel overseas. They returned to the Philippines in February 2021.

Fast forward to December 2022: Anne flew back to Australia with Erwan and Dahlia, who's now 2 years old, just in time for Christmas.

The actress/TV host/entrepreneur and the foodie/entrepreneur/digital content creator lost no time in taking Dahlia closer to nature, particularly around their place in Melbourne, the capital city of Victoria state.

Anne also took time appreciating her mother's garden, where dahlias are in bloom.

Isabelle Daza: get-together with in-laws in France

Isabelle Daza, her husband Adrian Semblat and their two sons Baltie and Valentin spent the holidays in Adrian's native France. They made the trip with Isabelle's trusty and reliable Yaya Luning.

While Isabelle, who's pregnant with her third child, seemed to be enjoying their "little French Christmas," the actress/entrepreneur admitted to missing her Pinoy family, led by her mom Gloria Diaz.

Jackie Forster: reunion in Japan

From their current base in Europe, Jackie Forster, her current husband Michael Franken, and their children Jared, Caleigh, and Yohan traveled to Japan to reunite with her older sons Andre Paras and Kobe Paras.

Andre and Kobe's father is basketball player-turned-actor Benjie Paras, who was previously married to now retired actress Jackie. Like their father, Andre and Kobe also played basketball and joined showbiz.

Kobe now plays for the Altiri Chiba team in the Japanese B.League, a professional men's basketball league. He previously played for the U.P. Maroons and the Philippine national team.

Andre, on the other hand, had a brief stint in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), the league that Benjie dominated in the 1990s. Andre now focuses on his showbiz career. He's in the cast of the currently airing GMA-7 drama series, Abot-Kamay na Pangarap.

Jackie and her brood made it a point to watch Kobe's basketball game, which his team won.

Off to their holiday break

On Christmas Day, Richard Gutierrez and Sarah Lahbati, with their sons Zion and Kai, flew to Japan to enjoy the rest of the holiday season.

 

When Richard, Sarah, and their brood arrived in the Japanese capital city of Tokyo, they immediately got down to pleasure. The super in-love couple got some MOMOL moment until they were interrupted (read the story here).

After Christmas, Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi, along with the twin kids and now fellow GMA-7 artists Mavy Legaspi and Cassy Legaspi, went on a trip to Korea.

The Villarroel-Legaspis are taking a much-needed break from work. Carmina plays a lead lead in Abot-Kamay na Pangarap. Zoren had worked on another drama series, Apoy sa Langit; Mavy on I Left My Heart in Sorsogon and Cassy on First Lady. 

Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna, with their litte one Elias in tow, also flew out of the country to spend the rest of the holiday season. Their first stop was France.
