Having three kids can be a handful, take it from Andi Eigenmann.
The Siargao-based actress, who now calls herself an island mama, recently took to Instagram to share her experiences raising Ellie, 10; Lilo, almost 3; and Koa, 2.
Andi writes in the caption for the photo of her loved ones: "On days that I feel like I am going crazy with all these kids, I just tell myself, 'ginusto mo yan!' But kidding aside, yes, I did ask for this! I wanted this."
She adds, "Just as that saying goes: I hope for the wild children with their bare feet and eyes that sparkle. The restless climbers. The ones that use outside voices, that sing like noone is around.
"These wonder-filled glorious mess makers dreaming of mointains and mud, aching through a field of stars. My little wildlings! Love them just as they are."
Ellie, the eldest of the bunch
Andi is all praises for her firstborn, whose father is actor Jake Ejercito. She says of Ellie in a post: "It has been an amazing journey so far with this little light of mine. It was her tiny little hands that held mine and led us both here, where we found life on paradise."
And in another post: "Pictures coming rare with this beaut lately. She's been busy growing up, that's why! I had to come up to her and ask a favor from one of her friends to take this pic.
"I could see her from a distance as I was busy fixing up at @kanaway.snackbar"—referring to the newly opened snackbar that Andi and her fiancé Philmar Alipayo own—"I felt a bit sentimental as I watched her fondly hanging around exchanging giggles, and bustin out some tiktok moves with her group."
Andi goes on describing Ellie in awe: "Her circle has been growing on the island and it has been contributing to her character. Growing up to be so playful, and cheerful, and charming and so friendly! I love this girl!"
Lilo, the middle child
Andi can't help marvelling at her and Philmar's first child, who's turning out to be quite a personality. She says of Lilo in one post: "Here is Lilo on top of a fallen tree trunk taking me on a spontaneous adventure. 'Ahoy, Mateys!', she shouts."
In that post, Andi shares a few shots of Lilo in "ahoy" poses that that the little girl made up. She then explains, also in the caption, "A child's mind isn't built to sit and be taught. It's built to explore, play and learn."
And points out, "I love witnessing my children learn, and getting to learn more about what's in their soul through imaginative play!"
Koa, the bunso and only boy
And is similarly and equally in awe of her and Philmar's second child. She says in a post, "Getting to know this little man more and more each day has been a treat!
"Discovering ways that make him much like his sisters, and also what makes him different. All in all, just what makes him who he is! What a sweet special man you are growing up to be."
Here are 5 ways to be more patient when things are really going crazy at home:
1. Pretend someone's watching to keep you on your toes.
2. Take it one step at a time.
3. Take care of yourself.
4. Know when you're most impatient.
5. Try to really listen.
