Kris Aquino’s Emotional Birthday Message For Bimby’s 17th Birthday: ‘Love Doesn’t Die’

In an emotional Instagram post, Kris Aquino shared a heartfelt birthday message for her son, Bimby, alongside a candid update on her health struggles. Kris has openly shared her recent health struggles on social media, and her post for Bimby’s birthday resonated with sincerity and vulnerability.

The post includes a carousel of photos wherein Kris and Bimby, dressed in pink, are hugging each other, alongside a backdrop of a birthday cake and balloons with the numbers 17. Kris started her caption with, “There’s a lot I haven’t shared with you about the current state of my health, primarily because my news has mostly been sad…” Setting a somewhat somber tone and revealing her feelings about her ongoing health battles.

She then shifts to a more positive note, recalling the joy of Bimby’s birth on April 19, 2007, “I gave birth to my guardian angel…

“In the past month with Kuya Josh in the Philippines, and because of several vaccines I needed to be given, Bimb kept me company while I quarantined,” revealing how much she has come to rely on her son as a source of comfort and support throughout her battle.

Kris then apologizes to Bimby, recalling a recent moment of vulnerability, while also praising the latter for his maturity, willingness to help, and faith, “I’m sorry for showing weakness yesterday when I cried nonstop because of my fear that I may not be around to be with you on your 18th birthday- it’s my bad for not being grateful that against all odds, with 5 autoimmune conditions, 3 of them that are life threatening I failed to see the glass as being half full BECAUSE you’ve matured so much and you’re always ready to help my nurses, and though I know you’re also freaked, you still show CALM & absolute FAITH in God when my BP and heart rate reach scary high numbers. ”

Despite the hardships, Kris’ message to Bimby is ultimately one of love and hope. She expresses her deepest desire for her son, saying, “No matter how much physical pain I endure daily–my heart overflows with love because of your caring, selfless, unconditional LOVE. My one wish is for your character to remain STRONG, your values and integrity stay ADMIRABLE, your respectful and polite manner UNCHANGED, and your passion for learning will continue to inspire you to make the most of your education. I LOVE YOU not only during my lifetime or yours BUT definitely for eternity. You’re my greatest achievement because of your capacity to love–this early you’ve embraced your responsibility to take care of your kuya, and since you were 11 years old, you’ve been so protective of me. Love doesn’t die my [honey emoji], please remember that. HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the love of my life.”

For Bimby’s 16th birthday last year, Kris said that he is the reason she’s not giving up and will “continue fighting what at times feels like a losing battle.” In an interview with Boy Abunda during the latter part of the year, Kris shared more details about the current state of her health and her multiple diagnoses of Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, Autoimmune Thyroiditis, Churg-Strauss Syndrome (also known as EPGA), Erosive Gastritis and Gastric Ulcer, and Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD). Kris and Bimby are currently abroad seeking treatment for her illnesses.
