Heart Evangelista In Full 'Mother Mode' For Stepdaughter Chesi's Prom

Aww, Heart Evangelista is the sweetest stepmom!

Netizens laud the 39-year-old actress and style icon for being hands-on and supportive to Chesi Escudero, who attended her first prom night.

In a video uploaded by Heart on Instagram, she can be seen going all out in the preparations for Chesi's special affair. She wrote, "Our baby is now a lady! Our darling Chesi surrounded by her friends and loved ones as she officially goes to her first prom in Michael Leyva." The video has gained 6.4 million views as of writing.

Heart sent her love to the glam team for making Chesi look her best. One of Heart's followers praised Michael for Chesi's gown, saying, "He understands body types, it is age-appropriate, not too revealing, she's glowing."

Chesi expressed her gratitude to Heart and the glam team for making her first prom experience memorable. She even shared photos from her prom night on her own Instagram account.

On her Instagram stories, Heart also shared that aside from letting Chesi wear a Bvlgari necklace, she also wore earrings from when she was her age. 

Chesi, 16, is the twin sister of Quino and the daughter of Chiz Escudero from his previous marriage. Heart entered the twins' lives when they were four years old.

In an interview with Summit Media editors four years ago, Heart shared that she was closer than ever with her stepkids, saying, they are like a barkada. "I cannot be strict or else they’ll end up hating me. But how can you also make sure that they’re getting the proper guidance? But I guess I’m lucky that my approach to them is we’re friends," Heart said. 

Heart also revealed that the moment she knew she had gained the twins’ trust was around the time that she suffered her first miscarriage in 2018.

“When I was pregnant for the first time. Maybe there was something… You know how a dog emits a scent. Maybe I was giving out a scent like, they kind of loved me more when I was pregnant. And I really loved them more. I think it was the motherly instinct also," Heart said in the 2020 interview.

Last May, Heart opened up about losing her fourth angel, whom she addressed as "My Son FrancisKo." It was the second time that Heart revealed losing a child this year. In March, she and Chiz appeared on a talk show to reveal that they lost their child, whom they were set to name Sophia Heart.

Heart and Chiz have been married for nine years, and renewed their vows in February.
