Inside Tali Sotto’s Kawaii-Land Themed 7th Birthday Party

Vic Sotto and Pauleen Luna-Sotto brought everyone to “Kawaii-land” for their daughter Tali’s 7th birthday celebration.

In Japanese popular culture, “kawaii” means something appealing in an endearing way, or simply, cute. Pauleen’s Instagram posts of the event captured the celebration’s abundant cureness perfectly.

On Instagram, Pauleen shared that the theme was inspired by Tali and her creative side. She expressed her gratitude to Paby’s Creative Events for putting everything together.

“On my 36th birthday, we celebrated my daughter’s 7th. Seeing her sooooo happy made my birthday extra extra special,” Pauleen wrote.

The mother of two continued, “For coming up with the theme, which is Tali and her artsy side! It is just about right to highlight the birthday girl and her talents!”

The celebration, held at the Filinvest Tent in Alabang, featured pastel-colored Kawaii doodles, artwork, balloons, and smiling fluffy clouds suspended from the ceiling.

Highlights of the party included an elaborate entrance to welcome party-goers, a stage platform, Kawaii characters smiling from the backdrop, Kawaii-themed centerpieces with plush toys, play areas, activity booths, and a human-claw machine!

Tali’s cake was a stunning six-tiered pastel-colored Kawaii masterpiece, adorned with “Jellycat”-like smiling characters, with a little girl figure in the middle and a mini cake sitting at the top-most tier.

The birthday girl and her parents also entertained the guests with a special dance performance.

The star-studded event included Eat Bulaga regulars such as Maine Mendoza with husband Arjo Atayde, Ryan Agoncillo and daughter Luna, Miles Ocampo, Jose Manalo, Wally Bayola, and Ryzza Mae Dizon. Members of the Sotto family, including former Senator Tito Sotto and Helen Gamboa, Marc Pingris and Danica Sotto-Pingris, Oyo Sotto and Kristine Hermosa-Sotto with their kids, Paulina Sotto, Ciara Sotto, Gian and Joy Sotto, and Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto, were also in attendance.
