Carol Banawa recently took to Instagram to share what could be her fellow working moms are feeling, too.

"Lately, I have been really feeling 'unhappy' about my health and how I look," said the singer-actress, who now works as a nurse in the United States, in one of her posts showing her carrying her one-year-old bunso.

She admitted, "I felt like I have 'let go' and have not really taken care of myself. I became too comfortable in my own skin and I have forgotten how it felt like to feel and look good."

But Carol didn't stop at feeling sorry for herself. After acknowledging her feelings, she accepted her situation and resolved on improving it.

She declared, "So, I have decided to improve my fitness, my health, and how I carry myself."

She went on explaining, "People who know me well, know that I always dress for comfort. I don’t really plan on changing much about how I carry and take care of myself.

"Living here in the US and having to do everything yourself, doesn’t really give you the luxury of time to 'fix yourself up.' But I will try. Whenever I can. For me. So I can start loving and feeling happy about myself and my health again."

She concluded, "To all my mommy friends, I know you get me. So let’s do it together."

Carol got the approval and support of her social media followers, including her fellow celebrity moms Nikki Valdez, Kaye Abad, Jolina Magdangal, and Dimples Romana.

Carol's self-care tips

Here are a few changes that Carol has done for herself:

1. Try to exercise every day.

"I say try because there are still days I get lazy. It’s ok mamas, it is hard to commit. But let’s keep workin at it. We will get there. Eye on the prize!"

2. No more wearing pjs all day.

"Again, I'm all for comfort. But now, I will try my best to avoid doing this."

3. Find time to fix my hair.

"I ALWAYS WEAR MY HAIR UP. My hair is naturally curly. So finding the time to fix it, is sooo hard. So time consuming. BUT, I need to make an effort to fix my hair if that is something that will make me feel good about myself. So I will."

4. Embrace my curls.

"Yep. Will try to do that. Dahil nakakapagod din magplantsa ng buhok araw araw ha! And it’s also bad for your hair. So I need to learn to love and style my curly hair."

Carol said in her latest post that she's planning on trying on another hair color and style, so she asked for tips and products.

Ditto for her eyebrows: "Kelangan ko na rin yata makiuso sa pagpapakilay. Masyado na manipis ang 90s kilay ko magulo pa hahaha!"
