'Coming From A Broken Family' Marian Rivera Prayed To Make Her Own Complete And Happy

To be a wife and a mother was a constant prayer for actress Marian Rivera, and she is grateful to be living that dream now through her husband, Dingdong Dantes.

In a Youtube video, Marian spoke with her good friend, celebrity hairstylist Celeste Tuviera about how much she values marriage and family.

In the vlog, Celeste looks back at how special she felt being chosen as one of Marian's bridesmaid. "Gusto ko lang ipagpasalamat. Special, alam mo 'yung, ako 'yung isa sa mga napili mong maging bridesmaid mo," Celeste says. "For me 'Yan (Marian), I don't take that lightly."

The celebrity mom of two immediately agrees with Celeste saying, "Tama ka ate eh, lahat ng nandon sa entourage namin, pati mga ninong at ninang nu'n mahalaga at importante 'yan samin."

This was when Marian opened up about how she yearned and prayed to have a complete family since she did not have one growing up.

"Sabi ko nga, isa 'to sa mga pinagdasal ko kay Lord eh, 'Lord, gusto ko magkaroon ako ng isang pamilya, isang asawa na magiging responsible. Bibigyan ako ng anak," Marian shares.

"Kahit simpleng buhay basta masaya at buo. Kasi coming from a broken family, so, isa 'yan sa mga wish ko talaga at pinapanalangin ko talaga ng taimtim 'yan. Gusto ko magkaroon ng buong pamilya. Binigay niya 'yon."

Marian then credits her husband for being an instrument to fulfill that wish. Referring to her spouse, she says, "Si Dong talaga 'yung pinakasagot sa mga prayer ko."

She adds, "Sa kakapanalangin ko talaga at maraming mga signs na binibigay si Lord talaga sakin. Si Dong talaga 'yung nandun. Siya talaga."

Marian and Dingdong are now among the most enduring couples in the Philippine local industry. The reel to real-life couple celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary last December 2021.

The pair are also hands-on parents to their two lovely children, Zia and Sixto.

For her part, Marian says she's never one to shy away from initiating lambing to her husband. "Tayong mga babae ang mauna kung sakali mang busy ang ating mga asawa. Hindi 'yan nakakabawas sa ating pagkababae. Tayong mga babae ang tumatahi sa ating mga pamilya," she shared.

Another important tip she has to offer is to accept your partners as they are. She says she never tries to pull Dingdong away from his hobbies, like how he loves riding motorcycle.

"Naniniwala kasi ako na nakilala ko siyang ginagawa niya 'yung hilig niya at gusto niya. 'Yun nga lang, ang kaibahan ngayon, kailangan mayroon kang ibibigay na reminders."

And lastly, trust is the key! She notes and reminds both moms and dads, "Naniniwala ako na kapag may tiwala kayo sa isa't-isa, 'pag buo 'yan, hayaan mo lang. Bakit mo hihigpitan? Ako, hindi ako mahigpit na asawa."
