Get those dancing shoes on, Momma, because we’re in for some grooving and dancing.
Whether you are in search of a new hobby, or in need of an alternative way to get fit without hitting the gym, or in hopes of reliving your love for dancing—this list is for you.
Let’s face it, moms carry a lot of mental load when it comes to managing the household, taking care of the kids and juggling other roles if the mom is working or running a business. And sometimes, running or strength training is not the language that some of these moms speak, when it comes to staying healthy, they would rather, feel the beat, point your toes, and raise your arms to rhythm.
Dancing, as a physical activity, has loads of benefits for your cardiovascular fitness, physiological and psychological health, including musculoskeletal strength, according to The National Institutes of Health. The mental health benefits for busy (and stressed-out) moms like you are described by Very Well Mind below.

- Increase endorphins
- Easy to bond with others
- Improves your mood
- Reduces loneliness
- Decreases anxiety and depression
- Decreases rumination
- Helps memory
- May prevent dementia
- Raises pain threshold
- Reduces pain perception
