Divine Lee and her husband Blake Go were among the celebrities who tested positive for COVID-19.
In a two-part vlog, the couple chronicled their experience with coronavirus, sharing they had not seen people since March 14 when they were tested.
While Divine was asymptomatic, Blake described his symptoms as mild. "First two days, I had sore throat na normally after a day or two [wala na]. I took vitamins and gargled...I would do hot water and salt. Third day, nagka-fever ako. Yun nagpa-swab na ako."
Blake said he also suffered diarrhea and experienced a loss of smell a few days after his fever. When Divine asked about body pain, he replied, "Pagod yung katawan mo, ayaw mong gumalaw. Gusto mo lang nakahiga. Pero wala akong sipon."
It was Blake's cough though that prompted his admittance to a hospital. "Bakit siya nagpa-pa admit? Narinig ng doctor yung ubo niya." Divine described it as "matigas na ubo, dry cough."

Divine Lee and Blake Go share vitamins and supplements they took when they had COVID-19
Divine and Blake said they were very fortunate because their COVID-19 did not get worse. They were not even on heavy medication. In fact, they revealed most of what they took during this time were vitamins and supplements listed down below.
Take note, however, of the couple's advice. They kept repeating that the following are not considered cure or medical treatment. "That's a doctor's job," Divine stressed.
Blake said these were the things they did as a precaution or make them feel better and their doctors encouraged them to do or take. The couple also clarified the vlogs were not sponsored by brands.
Gargle twice a day
Blake and Divine said when they had COVID-19 they were encouraged to gargle with povidone-iodine sore throat gargle solution. It has become a habit even when they've been cleared of the virus.

Load up on vitamins
The couple continues to take multivitamins and probiotics. But their doctors also recommended the following even when they were sick:
- vitamin C - good for the growth and repair of body tissue
- zinc - helps your immune system
- vitamin D3 - a type of vitamin D that helps absorb calcium and phosphorus.
- fish oil - the couple took it twice a day that became once a day after they recovered. Fish oil is packed with omega-3 fatty acids and has been used as a prescription medication to lower triglycerides. As a supplement, it is used for conditions related to the heart and blood system.
Drink melatonin
Blake was given melatonin, which is more popularly known as a sleeping aid, especially for insomnia. He took 36mg a day that became 10mg a day after recovery.

It may help alleviate acute respiratory distress caused by viral infections such as COVID-19.
In June 2020, DOST-PCHRD announced it was conducting a trial on melatonin as "adjuvant treatment for COVID-19 in patients requiring hospitalization." The test would run in selected hospitals in Metro Manila and Cebu City. (The Go family are currently based in Cebu.)
Try essential oil that makes you feel better
The essential oil is more for comfort. Blake says he liked applying lavender essential oil on his feet, and he drank lemon ginger tea.
Divine said a doctor told her having peppermint essential oil was a good test for your sense of smell. "Alam mo agad kung wala kang pang-amoy."
