  • As summer is in full swing and since social gatherings are still allowed, more and more families are pushing through with milestone celebrations.

Aside from first birthdays, a lot of parents now are finally locking in plans for their child’s baptism or Dedication Day. Of course, one of the preparations is choosing outfits for the special day.

We rounded up the binyag outfits of some celebrity families for inspiration.

This picture-perfect family recently had a double celebration for the unica hija's birthday and binyag. Snaps of Dahlia Amelie show her in a boho eyelet dress. Meanwhile, mommy Anne Curtis wore a presko white dress with a square neckline. The two of them wore matching gold necklaces with engraved pendants. Daddy Erwan Heussaff, on the other hand, wore a plain white polo and khaki shorts.

Solenn Heusaff and Nico Bolzico also recently held Thylane's baptism. The effortlessly stylish mom wore a sleeveless top with a whimsical peter pan collar detail. She matched it with pink pants and flat white sandals, pulling off a comfy and cute look—just like baby Tili in a white baby doll dress. Daddy Nico kept it simple with a white polo shirt, slacks, and brown shoes that match his belt.

    3. Like a fairy tale

If you love whimsical themes, you can definitely take inspiration from Felize McKenzie's baptism celebration. Instead of a classic Christening gown, she wore a white lace dress with daisies, her birth flower (April). Mom Elisse Joson looked like a princess, too, in a tiered maxi dress with puffed sleeves. Charming dad McCoy de Leon matched their cozy cottage vibe his white polo and light brown slacks.

    4. Low-key and casual

Meryll Soriano and Joem Bascon show how to dress up jeans for the special occasion. The mom wore a long white shirt-dress, while the dad was in a short-sleeve polo shirt with minimal blue floral prints. Their first child Gideon, on the other hand, was in a white onesie with multicolor balloon prints.

    5. Off-white ensemble

Camille Prats and hubby VJ Yambao held Baby Nala’s baptism years ago, but their outfits as a family of five are great sources of inspo. The mom didn’t go for traditional white. Instead, she was in a cream-colored off-shoulder top with an asymmetrical hemline. She finished the look with slim pants and strappy studded sandals.

Daddy VJ was in a white polo shirt, chino pants, and loafers, while their sons Nathan and Nolan were in Chinese collar polos with jeans. And Baby Nala? She was the star of the show, donning her mom’s Christening gown. She looked like a royal princess with a tiara.

    6. Trendy yet elegant

Love puffed sleeves? It doesn’t have to be just a trendy thing you’ll regret after a few years. Take it from Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera in a pretty wrap top for Baby Sixto or Ziggy’s baptism. She made it look more elegant with white trousers and statement stud earrings. Hubby Dingdong Dantes looked more casual in a floral polo shirt and jeans. As for the kids: the celebrant Ziggy was dressed in a short-sleeve polo and brown pants, while ate Zia was a darling as usual in a pink baby doll dress.

And if you don’t want to wear something white, it’s totally fine! It’s only the child that churches usually request to be in a white attire or baptism gown. Take your cue from Saab Magalona, who wore this beautiful floral nude dress to Pancho’s baptism in 2018. The baby actually wore something more off-white, too. Meanwhile, Jim Bacarro was in a dark polo shirt with elbow-length sleeves.

    8. Boho vibe

Here’s another perfect peg for summer celebrations. When celeb couple Isabel Oli and John Prats dedicated their youngest child Forest to the Lord, the baby wore a white gown with pink bow. The mom wore a versatile eyelet dress and the dad (who celebrated his birthday then, too) was in the usually white shirt and black pants. Of course, we can’t forget their two other kids. Freedom wore a white polo with khaki pants, while Feather was in a very boho shoulder-tie white dress.

    9. Sophisticated

If you’re going for a more polished vibe, check out this look by Liz Uy. To match the format long baby dress that Mati wore, she donned a sweetheart neckline dress with long sleeves. The sparkly necklace and her short bob accentuated the dress even more. The dad, on the other hand, was in a classic long sleeve shirt and slacks—the zipper detail and man bun dial down the formal feel of his outfit. And then there’s the firstborn Xavi, who looked adorable in a white Peter Pan collar tee and shorts.

Georgina Wilson pulled off a mix of sophistication and making a bold statement. She wore an LBD (little back dress) with a white cape and a long white ribbon necktie. Hubby Arthur Burnand matched her look with a dark coat over a white shirt, while Baby Archie was seen in a formal Christening gown.

Moms suggest you schedule your child's baptism soon. If you wait for too long, you might experience this.
